Trainer

Easton Communications’ continued growth in the Unified Communications field in the southern Manitoba market has created a demand for a Customer Trainer.

Reporting to the Operations Director, the primary objective of this position is the delivery of professional technical training to our clients’ end-users and administrators upon implementation of new UC systems. Specific duties are as follows:

• Deliver hands-on training in the operation, administration and support of the hardware and software components of new technology implementations to end-users, operators and system administrators at the client site
• Work closely with the Operations Department to continually develop and update training materials to ensure they are current with new technologies
• Work closely with the Sales Department to ensure proper communication and coordination of training requirements and scheduling
• Follow-up periodically with all personnel at the client site to ensure a complete understanding of the system and its features and sell additional training sessions if required

• Very strong written and oral communication skills with a demonstrated ability to interact and build relationships with client personnel at all levels from users to executives
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to learn new technologies and be able to translate that knowledge into professional course materials and training sessions that are easily understood by all personnel at the client site

• Experience in delivering hands-on technical training at client sites
• Experience in developing training manuals and tools
• An understanding of learning processes and strong listening skills for effective two-way communication during the training and follow-up processes
• Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline
