Trainer
Easton Communications’ continued growth in the Unified Communications field in the southern Manitoba market has created a demand for a Customer Trainer.
Reporting to the Operations Director, the primary objective of this position is the delivery of professional technical training to our clients’ end-users and administrators upon implementation of new UC systems. Specific duties are as follows:
- Deliver hands-on training in the operation, administration and support of the hardware and software components of new technology implementations to end-users, operators and system administrators at the client site
- Work closely with the Operations Department to continually develop and update training materials to ensure they are current with new technologies
- Work closely with the Sales Department to ensure proper communication and coordination of training requirements and scheduling
- Follow-up periodically with all personnel at the client site to ensure a complete understanding of the system and its features and sell additional training sessions if required
Requirements:
- Very strong written and oral communication skills with a demonstrated ability to interact and build relationships with client personnel at all levels from users to executives
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to learn new technologies and be able to translate that knowledge into professional course materials and training sessions that are easily understood by all personnel at the client site
The ideal candidate would possess the following:
- Experience in delivering hands-on technical training at client sites
- Experience in developing training manuals and tools
- An understanding of learning processes and strong listening skills for effective two-way communication during the training and follow-up processes
- Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline
